Josh Butcher is the OIA's most recent hire, and is our new Instructional Applications Support Specialist.
Josh provides support and training for Adobe Connect, Turning Point (Clickers), and Panopto. He can sit down and introduce each of these technologies and help you begin to integrate them into your courses. He also tests functions, troubleshoots issues, and develops needed workarounds within these instructional applications.
Background & Education: Prior to joining OIA, Josh was an Instructional Technology Systems Manager at Western Illinois University (WIU) for 12 years. At WIU he served as a technology representative for the College of Education and Human Services. He was responsible for college-wide tech support for faculty and staff technology equipment (computers, printers, peripheral devices, etc.) as well as technology equipment in classrooms and labs. He also managed the Interactive Multimedia Lab and Technology Resource Checkout. The Interactive Multimedia Lab provided just-in-time one-on-one or small group training and assistance to faculty, staff, and students on a wide variety of technology topics and initiatives. The Technology Resource Checkout provided technology equipment checkout services to faculty, staff, and students.

Josh holds an M.S in Instructional Design and Technology from Western Illinois University as well as a B.S in Instructional Technology and Telecommunications from Western Illinois University.
