For Departments
The Office of Instruction and Assessment can assist departments in furthering their instructional and research mission in a number of ways. We can help departments modify existing or create new certificate and degree programs by identifiying program goals and objectives, mapping those goals across curricula, and designing assessment strategies that support student success.
We are also available to create and deliver customized professional development activities and workshops for faculty, TAs and other instructors in all areas of instructional design and teaching. Student focus groups and classroom and online course observations can give faculty an external and objective perspective of their teching practices and behaviors.
