VoiceThread Mini-Course: Using VoiceThread to Create Interactive Online Learning Experiences
When: This mini-course has been cancelled
Facilitated by Phyllis Brodsky and Mascha Gemein
VoiceThread is a collaborative tool integrated with D2L that allows instructors and students to create asynchronous, interactive experiences, both for instruction and assessment, using images, documents, videos and slides. VoiceThread can be used for face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses.
In this two-week, fully online mini-course, participants will participate in VoiceThreads and acquire fundamental mechanical and didactic skills in using the tool in their own teaching practice. Designed for both beginning and experienced users, this course will empower all participants to create dynamic, engaging lessons and assessments using VoiceThread through personal guidance from the facilitators, group interactions, and hands-on activities.
All activities in this mini-course are asynchronous; students should expect to spend 30 minutes to 1 hour per day on learning and activities. Participants who complete 80% or more of the assignments will receive a certificate of completion.
