The Office of Instruction and Assessment is looking for a 0.5 FTE graduate assistant for the 2017-2018 academic year.  The focus will be to develop experience with and contribute to the work of educational/faculty development on the UA campus.  The GA will work within the Faculty and Future Faculty Development team. This position will be a 0.5 Graduate Assistantship with associated benefits.

More than a quarter million hours — that’s how much time students at the University of Arizona collectively spent watching recorded lectures, flipped classroom presentations, and other academic video just in the last year.

Two terabytes — that’s the total size of the video files UA faculty and staff produce every single week as they work to create the best learning environment for the institution’s 42,000 students.

OIA Faculty Development Intern Position

The Office of Instruction and Assessment is looking for a 0.5 FTE graduate student intern for the 2017-2018 academic year.  The focus of this internship will be to develop experience with and contribute to the work of educational/faculty development on the UA campus.  The intern will work within the Faculty and Future Faculty Development team.  This is an hourly paid and non-benefits eligible student position.  (Note: Graduate students already on contract in another department may still be considered.)  

UA Startup Targets Improved Information Systems and Services for Faculty and Students

Tucson, Ariz. – The University of Arizona has licensed a tool to integrate student information systems and learning management systems to UA startup FishTail Technologies. The software, which simplifies the use of the University’s complex D2L curriculum management system, resulted from the inventive work of a collaborative, multi-unit team from the UA Office of Instruction and Assessment (OIA) and University Information Technology Services (UITS).
