Moderator: Mascha N. Gemein,

Description: As a hook for conversation, we will begin with a brief report from the Learning at Intercultural Intersections conference in Kamloops, BC in early March. While the key topics of the conference are internationalization and Indigenization, this year contemplative pedagogies evolved as a supportive theme and promising practice to facilitate ethical spaces of engagement, awareness for positionality, perspective-taking, and communication patterns that contribute sustainably to interculturalism and equity-mindedness. With some fresh impressions from the conference, let’s talk about contemplative practices/pedagogies in connection to Inclusive Excellence.
