This portion of the OIA's Instructional Technologies team provides campus-wide support for D2L and TurnItIn.
We can help you move elements of your current curriculum online, help create new curricula and develop instructional strategies and processes -- strategies based on solid learning and instructional theory to achieve your instructional goals. See us to create viable distance-learning spaces.
What is D2L?
Desire2Learn (D2L) is a web-based course management system designed to create rich online learning environments for students. D2L includes features such as an electronic dropbox, automated gradebook, discussion boards and quizzes.
What is TurnItIn?
TurnItIn is a plagiarism-detection tool integrated into D2L. When students submit a document to the D2L Assignment tool, TurnItIn compares the text to a database of published documents and those submitted to TurnItIn.com, and generates an originality score.
