My piece of the puzzle:
Garry is the Coordinator of Strategic Initiatives and Outreach for OIA at the University of Arizona. He coordinates marketing and outreach activities. With his colleague Erin Dokter, Garry has created the course IA397/597 Mindful Teaching and Learning: Theory to Practice, which they taught for the first time during the Spring 2019 semester.
Background & Education:
Garry has worked in the information field for over 20 years. With a background in historical and archaeological research and working in public libraries, medical informatics, academic information systems, metadata consulting, distributed learning and educational technology. Garry has published on a wide variety of topics related to professional interests and is an active semi-professional photographer.
Education: B.S. in History, with Minors in Education and Anthropology from the State University College at Oneonta, NY and a Masters in Library Science from Syracuse University and is always looking for new opportunities to learn.
