Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR)
This is a face-to-face workshop offered on Friday, March 31 from 9:00-4:00 at McClelland Park room 402.
In a 2016 survey by Florida Virtual Campus, 66.5 percent of Florida college students reported not purchasing the required textbook for a class due to cost. They also said the price of required textbooks had caused them to take fewer courses (47.6 percent), not register for a specific course (45.5 percent), earn a poor grade (37.6 percent), and fail a course (19.8 percent).
The "Learning Better" symposium, featuring Mark McDaniel, professor of psychology and director of the Center for Integrative Research on Cognition, Learning and Education (CIRCLE) at Washington University, and co-author of the recently published book Make-It-Stick took place on Friday, February 17, 2017.
This event was hosted by the recently established Center for University Education Scholarship (CUES).
