For Faculty
The Office of Instruction and Assessment (OIA) is a campus resource for faculty, all other instructional personnel (including TAs), and researchers at the University of Arizona. The OIA offers support to the University’s teaching community in course development (face-to-face, hybird and on-line courses), curriculum design, program and classroom assessment and evaluation, instructional strategies and learning technologies. This support is provided through one-on-one consultations, workshops, observations, web-resources, demonstrations, focus groups, and production services.
OIA’s full- and part-time staff provides support and development in all aspects of instruction including diverse teaching methodologies, learning theory and practice, instruction and program assessment, the innovative use of instructional technological tools, and the design and delivery of distance courses and programs. Expertise is also available in web design, graphics and animation creation, podcasting, blogging, programming in computer languages, and video and audio production.

The OIA offers a Certificate in College Teaching, a New Faculty Orientation (prior to Fall semester), and a Teaching Academy early in Fall and Spring semesters.
